Donnie Gibson - President

Growing up on a farm and ranch in Wyoming, Donnie began his career at an early age operating farm equipment and developing a strong work ethic. As a young adult, he transitioned from the farm and ranch to the construction industry. During his early construction years, he worked as a laborer in the landscape and concrete trades, then transitioned into underground utilities and then into grading and paving, where he has focused his talents for the last 27 years.

Starting at the bottom and working in every aspect of site development, from laborer to land development director to owner, has given Donnie a broad prospective as to what the client’s needs are, as well as what his employees’ needs are. Donnie’s experience over the last 15 has been directly in management.

He has managed  in excess of 300 employees at a time and has managed over $30 million in contracts in a year. His management experience ranges from small commercial sites to large residential land development sites to federal government installations to open pit mining and

Donnie currently sits on the board of directors for several industry organizations as well as serves on multiple government affairs committees. His passion for the construction industry and community push him to serve for the betterment of both. Being a member of the Nevada Contractors Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, NAIOP and the Southern Nevada Homebuilders Association keeps him very connected to all aspects of our local construction community.

 

 

 

Kenny Gibson- VP of Operations

Kenny has over 20 years of site development experience. He has extensive knowledge in operations management of earthwork, underground utilities, site concrete and asphalt paving. Kenny is well versed in residential, commercial and public works projects in varying sizes and scopes. His no-nonsense approach to operations has allowed him to manage up to 200 people and up to 35 active projects at a time, grossing over $40,000,000.00 in annual revenues and single contracts valued in upwards of $15,000,000.00. He has managed the offsite scopes for customers such as DR Horton, Pardee Homes, Lennar Homes, KB Homes and has done major infrastructure projects for Clark County NV, City of Henderson NV, City of Las Vegas NV and Federal Projects at Creech AFB and Nellis AFB in Nevada.

Brandon Vaught – VP Sales and Estimating

Brandon started his career in estimating and project management in 2004. His experience is very broad-based, from small commercial projects to large public work projects. He has a very detailed understanding of estimating and project management processes. Brandon is extremely qualified in estimating and is proactive with the customer right from the start; he also carries that proactive problem solving mentality right into the management of the projects. Brandon has had the opportunity to
build very intricate projects in the Las Vegas Valley, such as World Market Center, Wynn Hotel and Mandalay Bay. He also has broad experience working with the Clark County School District, where he was involved in several elementary school and middle school site development projects. Brandon has also been an intricate part of estimating public works projects in Southern Nevada for entities such as the City of Henderson, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas and Clark County. He has estimated and managed projects from as small as $70,000 in contract value to as large as $20,000,000 in single site development contract value.

Cindy - Controller


Cindy has combined nearly 20 years of accounting experience in various industries with 23 years in the construction world. After having worked in a real estate relocation company, a building company, a tin box manufacturing company and for a federal government subcontractor, she was happy to be able to draw on all of that experience to do project administration for a developer in New Mexico, then make a final move to Las Vegas to do forward planning for a home builder. Las Vegas has been her home for 15 years now and she plans for it to be where she retires. When Civil Werx began, she was given the opportunity to help grow it from the beginning and it has been the most satisfying job of her career. She has enjoyed getting back to her accounting roots and also expanding her knowledge to human resources. She hopes that she brings a different and helpful perspective to the Civil Werx team, being female in a very male dominated industry.

Zach - Project Manager


Zach began his construction career as a Purchaser in 2012.  He came to Civil Werx in that position in 2015, and has since moved on to project management.  His responsibilities involve managing projects from the time they are awarded though the time of closeout.  Over the last year, Zach has become more involved in billings and collections, and now handles 100% of the billing for Civil Werx.  He is responsible for project change orders and subcontracts, and is also involved with the estimating department and their day to day operations. Zach has been involved with a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, as well as some federal and public works projects.  His growing working relationship with customers and clients, as well as with suppliers and subcontractors, has continued to improve his abilities to be successful.  It is also his organization skills, hard work ethic, and attention to detail that promote a positive work environment.

Willy - Purchasing/Safety Manager


Willy began his career in construction in 2005. He moved up to Purchasing in 2010 and then to Equipment Manager in 2012. He came to Civil Werx in 2014 as Equipment/Purchasing Manager. In 2015, he started to venture into the safety aspect of construction.  As Purchasing Manager, Willy is in charge of obtaining price quotes from multiple suppliers and rental companies, creating and issuing purchase orders, reviewing invoices, and schedules pickups and deliveries. As Safety Manger, his main goal is to keep employees, the company, and the public safe from safety and environmental hazards by providing ongoing training for all employees and maintaining company and government compliance. Jason - Senior Operations Manager


Jason has been working in the construction industry for 28 years. He got his start in construction when he was in middle school because his grandfather owned a construction company. Jason ran a finish blade for 12 years before moving up to Operations Manager. His duties include making sure the company meets customers’ schedules along with scheduling inspections, setting up trucking and transports, and getting barricade plans ready to be submitted. Most importantly he makes sure to beat the budget and schedule. In his time working in the construction industry, Jason has worked on many different types of jobs from residential to public works jobs. He has overseen jobs ranging between few thousand dollars to multi-million-dollar jobs. Jason helps his crews to work hard in helping the client get the job done in a timely manner and to provide great customer service. He always takes pride in the work that he does.
